── ラムサールCOP10から生物多様性COP10へ ──
── From Ramsar COP10 to CBD/COP10 ──

ラムサール条約第10回締約国会議において、「水田決議案（議案 X.31）」を日韓両政府が共同で提出し、採択されたことを、我々、生物多様性フォーラムは評価します。
We, the Japan Forum for Biodiversity, evaluate that " Enhancing biodiversity in rice paddies as wetland systems (Draft Resolution X.31)" was introduced and adopted in cooperation with both the governments of Korea and Japan.

しかし、ラムサール条約の"パートナー条約"と言われる「ボン条約（移動性野生動物の種の保全に関する条約／CMS）」に、この両国が共に加盟していないことを非常に残念に思います。もしこの両国がボン条約に加盟したならば、東アジアにおける移動性野生動物の保全活動が大きく前進するでしょう。
However, we are disappointed that the governments don't contract "Bonn Convention (Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals / CMS)" still. If the both contract in Bonn Convention, conservation activities of migratory wild animals will made great strides in East Asia.

2010年に日本の名古屋で生物多様性条約第10回締約国会議（CBD/COP10）が開催されます。我々は、ラムサールCOP10で行われたような日韓政府共同の取り組みが、CBD/COP10に向けてさらに進展することを期待します。
In 2010, the 10th meeting of the conference of the parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD/COP10) will be held at Nagoya, Japan. We hope that both the governments of Korea and Japan will make progress in cooperative work as it in Ramsar COP10 toward CBD/COP10.
